“I was immediately drawn to the idea of partnering Gathr Films with The Minimalists to bring this film to theaters across the country through the engagement and support of the minimalist community in the U.S.,” says Gathr Films President Jake Craven. “Upon speaking with Joshua and Ryan, it became clear that the Gathr Films brand meshed perfectly with theirs. We believe that this film can be used as a vehicle to get audiences to think critically about their lives. Putting the voice into the hands of community leaders who are championing the film by hosting Theatrical On Demand® events in their local movie theaters gives the film the best chance at speaking to a fresh audience of individuals who are curious about simple living and what benefits it could bring to their own lives.”
“This film is our opportunity to share the many different flavors of minimalism with the world—from minimalist families and entrepreneurs, to neuroscientists, fashion designers, architects, and everyone in between.” —Joshua Fields Millburn & Ryan Nicodemus
Minimalism is directed by Matt D’Avella. The film features interviews with ABC journalist and bestselling author Dan Harris, renowned neuroscientist Sam Harris, and Zen Habits creator Leo Babauta, among others.
